A partnership with BHA can range from providing general project support to participating as a partial owner, which may lead to potential exemptions from property taxes, special assessments, sales and use taxes during construction, and other benefits.

Colorado ROFR and ROFO Law
The Colorado ROFR and ROFO law, stemming from HB24-1175, grants local governments the opportunity to purchase certain multifamily rental properties to preserve long-term affordability. Under this law, the City and County of Broomfield has delegated these rights to the Broomfield Housing Alliance (BHA).
Applicability: Multifamily rental properties meeting certain criteria as defined under C.R.S. 29-4-1201 et seq.
Delegation of Rights: Broomfield's ROFR and ROFO rights are officially assigned to the Broomfield Housing Alliance.
Effective Period: This delegation is valid through December 31, 2029.
